Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats (frozen)
- 3 cups ice cold water
- 1-2 tbsp honey or 1-2 pitted dates
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Directions:
- Add 1 cup ice cold water along with the rest of the ingredients into a blender and blend on high for 20-30 seconds.
- Add remaining ice cold water into the blender and blend for another 10 seconds.
- Strain the mixture in a nut milk bag, or if you’re not too particular about sediments, you can also use a fine mesh strainer.
- Transfer oat milk into a sealed container and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Notes:
The cool temperature prevents oats from getting slimy. Rolled oats are also a better option than quick oats when making non-slimy oat milk!
